About us
Ardgowan Hospice is the local hospice for people living in Inverclyde, supporting a community of around 80,000 people.
Each year we say hello and welcome to around 1,000 local patients and their families, offering them with a huge range of support from end of life care to supporting carers, and from helping children cope with grief to helping patients return to work after an illness.
Since we opened our doors in 1981, we have always sought to evolve, ensuring that we adapt to the changing needs of our community. We continue to support people at the end of their life with personalised 1:1 care, we also support them, their families and carers from the moment they are diagnosed with a life-limiting illness such as cancer, heart failure, COPD and neurological conditions.
We are a charity and all our services free, at the point of access. Over 60% of our running costs need to be raised through fundraising and donations from compassionate individuals, groups, organisations and foundations.
Quality of life is at the forefront of everything we do. If you would like to be part of the team, have a look at our current vacancies.
